Fly or train into Jaisalmer on a Thursday night and be back by Sunday with the whole desert behind you. Two nights inside the old town, one under canvas at Sam. Kuldhara's abandoned village at dusk, Patwon ki Haveli's carved screens, Gadisar lake at sunrise and a camel into the dunes for the sunset everyone comes for.
