Valley of Flowers & Hemkund Sahib
The trip in one breath
One of the few treks where monsoon is the season. Between July and September the Valley of Flowers carries over 300 flowering species across a glacial basin at 11,500 ft, and Hemkund Sahib sits above it beside a lake ringed by seven peaks. The walking is on paved and stone trail rather than scree, which makes this a great second trek — or a manageable first one if you train for the stairs.
