The trip in one breath
Lahaul is what Spiti looks like on a five-day budget. We base out of Manali and Jispa, cross the Atal Tunnel, follow the Bhaga river north past Keylong, and push as far as Suraj Tal and Baralacha La if the road allows. Barren ridges, glacier snouts and almost no crowds. Oxygen support and a mountain-experienced captain travel with the group.
