The trip in one breath
Spiti is not a holiday, it is an expedition with comfortable beds. Over eight days we loop from Shimla through Kinnaur into the high desert — Nako, Tabo, Dhankar, Kaza, Key Monastery, Chicham bridge — and out over Kunzum Pass to Manali. Gaining altitude gradually from the Shimla side is the safe way to do this circuit, and it is why we run it in this direction. Small group, experienced mountain captains, oxygen on board, zero rush.
